I’ve been looking forward to this for a while – pretty much since the celestial themed wedding trend started to grow. I don’t know about you, but the night sky is one of the most romantic things to me, and one of life’s greatest pleasures, and it’s been inspiring poets and lovers for centuries. Bringing that into your wedding… well, it’s just lovely. Whimsical, ethereal, magical, and a great tie in to update travel themed weddings or for those of you who love astronomy, stargazing, science… or just feel like you want your wedding to have an epic, otherworldly feel (after all, you love your bae to the moon and back, right?) Here are ten star themed wedding details you can add to your wedding that will have your guests truly over the moon! *Links in bold denote affiliate links. The cost to you remains the same, but SBB may receive a commission for any sales made.

Introducing the Etsy Wedding Fair {Ticket Giveaway}

Ever since I left London to come hang out in South Africa, there are a few things that I miss a lot. Sunny days in the park. Public transport. Yorkshire puddings. Not having to wait in endless bank queues (that’s a side-eye for you, Eugene). But one of the things that always makes me want to teleport (seriously, would someone just invent this already?) is when I get invited to awesome London wedding events, and this year’s Etsy Wedding Fair (which takes place from 16-17 May at Oui 2 Rooms, 89 Tichfield St., London) is definitely one of them. I mean, I LOVE Etsy, so what could be better than being able to browse wedding goods from some of their most talented makers and chat to them in person? Etsy have just announced the list of exhibitors, and oh my word, there are some seriously AMAZING sellers on the list! But good news for you readers living in or near London, because even if I don’t get to be there, you do. On me! Well, on Etsy actually, since they have been lovely enough to give me one pair of tickets to give away. Just leave a comment at the end of this post telling me which of the awesome sellers/exhibitors below you’re most looking forward to meeting, and I’ll announce the winner at the end of April. SO! Let’s get to it – here are some of the gorgeous labels you’ll be able to see up close and personal! (And for those of you shopping at home like me, just click on any image to head over to the Etsy store).Read More

20 Boho Wedding Details

Confession: I feel kind of weird writing a post about the elements that will help you put together a bohemian style. Because, after all, the whole point of bohemianism is that anything goes, right? For a truly boho bride, you’re going to really make it up as you go along and just include the things that you love, that are in season, and that are at hand. And that’s awesome. In my view, wedding design should always be about what you love rather than conforming to what you think is expected of you. But let’s be honest, boho has become a ‘look’, and if that’s a look you’re trying to achieve, it’s my job to help you do that. And there are certain ingredients that immediately scream boho – a flower crown, a fishtail braid, perhaps a ’70s style crochet lace dress, a ceremony out in the open, a festival style reception. I still love all of those things (especially the flower crowns), but for today’s roundup, I wanted to focus on the less obvious details that you could include in your wedding styling that would still help to create a boho vibe. There are some seriously cool little ideas here, so dive in, and see what takes your fancy!Read More
