Swan Wedding #13: The Decor

In less than a month’s time we will be Mr & Mrs Mostert! Yayness! BUT together with all the excitement comes a big helping of wedding planning related stress. Will everything be done in time? Will it look as good in real life as it looks in my head? Will it be all I hoped and dreamt up? Do we have enough chinese lanterns/ balloons/ bunting/ drinks? Did I worry too little about the perfect dress/shoes/veil and too much about the confetti boxes? Will the playlist we have spent hours on, really get the guests to boogie as much as we want them to? Will all the DIY stationery details even be noticed? Will the day be drenched in love and happiness in the same way I imagined it since I was a little girl?

Urgh! I know worries will get me nowhere. Better to just keep on making my to-do lists, make sure everything is written down and delegate the things I can. And I must say as the big day creeps closer and closer, I get more and more excited. In my head, the day looks beautiful and Dirk and I are beaming. The ribbons dance in the wind, our favourite tunes are the perfect soundtrack to the day in which we promise to love and respect each other forever. Sounds just about AMAZING to me!!

We have not shared much of our decor ideas with you, but I am sure from our initial moodboard you can already imagine it in your head. Lots of playful elements in fun colours with a relaxed, comfortable and homey atmosphere. A space where our guests feel free to be themselves, mingle and party up a storm. And DIY, of course, just the way we like it! But together with our guests you will have to wait until after the wedding to see all our ideas! The images below were really the ones that inspired our wedding look right from the start. Oh, these make me so-o-o happy!

Your wedding will be phenomenal (to say the least)! If the pictures are anything to go by, then you sure are planning the event of all events!

Mag God jou en Dirk net bystaan en seën in die jare wat voorlê; en julle twee net favour in julle jare saam as Mr & Mrs!

    Leka tye,
    Ruan (jou aanstaande se wingman)
