Inspiration Board: Montevideo Red
Now continuing with our World Cup semi-finalist-inspired boards, here’s what I came up with for Uruguay. (Although after that hand ball, I considered boycotting this one in protest!) I wasn’t sure where to start, until I came across the gorgeous national flower, the ceibo (top right) and combined with the Uruguayan love of tango, I knew the colour had to be red. Add more local details - a stunning cathedral setting (Iglesia Matriz) and traditional alfajores biscuits for favours - and you have a palette that’s rich, sophisticated and passionate.
Top row (l-r): Couple with lantern; dress; alfajores; Iglesia Matriz; ceibo flowers
Row 2: Vintage car; bridesmaids; table setting; lemonade
Row 3: Tango couple; red glasses; Colonia del Sacramento street; shoes.

This is fantastic! Well done -love that you are using the semi finalists for inspiration – I think you may just have to do a South African one for the love of the game and World Cup!
Great idea, Julie – I think you’re right!
