Glitter & Greenery Wedding at Maroupi by Carmen Roberts

It’s Friday! And while we can’t pop the bubbly until after work, Lauren and Sean’s wedding has just the right amount of fizz and sparkle to keep us more than happy until champagne ‘o clock. This effervescent couple chose the lovely Maroupi as their venue and dressed it up with greenery and a dusting of glitz in the form of shimmery linens and gold sprayed eucalyptus – so pretty! And for an extra touch of festive flair, they placed a cracker at each setting – I love this Christmassy touch which is sure to delight your guests whatever the time of year. (For a cracker making tutorial, see here.) I’m also utterly in love with Lauren’s gown, which comes from chic boutique Toujours Wedding House, and fit the bride like a glove! But my favourite idea? The wine and charcuterie spread for cocktail hour – (clearly this is a couple after my own heart!) Carmen Roberts took these lovely pics – cheers to all the pretty!

Country Classic Wedding at The Glades by Fiona Clair

Oh joy! We’re kicking off our week with a wedding from SBB fave Fiona Clair, and it’s as romantic and beautiful as you might expect! Brittany and JP opted for a Midlands wedding right out of the country classic playbook, adding their own spin with personal details that reflected their history and personalities. With greenery, fairy lights, Kraft paper stationery and the most breathtaking Casey Jeanne gown, you won’t be able to help yourself from pinning away! I also love that Brittany took to heart a tip from our friend Jo of Oh Happy Day! here in Durbs, to concentrate on the feeling they wanted to create – such great advice, and the result was an atmosphere of celebration, fun and love. And with Fiona’s oh-so-spectacular images, the picture is complete! Sigh.

Berry Tone West Coast Wedding at Gelukkie by Kusjka du Plessis

Pretty as a picture and coming to your screen right now, Altus and Leandri’s wedding is one for the books! This sweet couple decided to combine the relaxed summer ambience of the West Coast sunshine with a bright (bang on trend!) berry palette, and seal the deal with family friends and fun! I love this wedding, not just because of how well all the little details fall together or how fabulous the colours are (those bridesmaid separates, wow!), but because Kusjka du Plessis has captured it in the most gorgeous images – the sunset shoot of bride, groom and bridal party is like something from a magazine! But then again, models never get to have this much fun!

Heartfelt Country Wedding at Elandskloof by Hewitt Wright Photography

It’s our lucky Friday, with this adorable wedding by Hewitt Wright Photography to share! We’re crushing big time on Lisa and Joe’s country nuptials, not just because they took place at the incredible Elandskloof, with its amazing natural beauty and intimate, relaxed atmosphere, but thanks to all the lovely details like Lisa’s long sleeve Robyn Roberts gown, her mismatched bridesmaids, and the prettiest of outdoor ceremonies. And here’s something else I love – the decor was a surprise for the bride and groom, set up by their nearest and dearest so, while we don’t have reception decor imagery to share, it’s for this wonderful, loving reason. To paraphrase the bride herself, involve your loved ones in your wedding, because the awesome memories are what really last! Hewitt Wright took these lovely, vibrant images.

Winter Gothic Wedding at Elandskloof by Event Affairs & Natural Light Photography

All I had to say after looking at this gallery was: YASS! Event Affairs, you ladies have done it again, stealing our hearts with this warm and wonderful winter wedding! From the setting (OMG how much do we LOVE Elandskloof?) to the flowers (especially the bride’s wow-worthy bouquet!), to the cozy reception filled with bold blooms and soft candlelight, Carisa and Frank’s wedding was one for the books. I just love a winter wedding done right, and from sherry before the reception to a special coffee station, this one had all those cold comforts covered. Natural Light Photography was there to capture every lovely moment.

Natural Greenery Wedding at Talloula by Duane Smith

Happy Monday lovelies! We’re finishing off a month dedicated to Greenery with this wedding which is full of greenery (only appropriate, right!). Kerry and Warren are one of those wonderful couples who are all about being themselves on their big day, which made many of their design choices simple (and simply lovely!), and the feeling of their big day intimate and personal. (Even more so thanks to some soft mist that rolled in overĀ Talloula to make their photos extra romantic!) Greenery was definitely the design theme of the day, thanks to Kerry’s love for eucalyptus, succulents and other greens, which adorned the tables in long twists, lined the aisle, and made for the loveliest of flower crowns and bouquets. Add in a constellation of twinkle lights, and you have something special, all captured by Duane Smith!

Chic Interiors-inspired Wedding at Grand Dedale by Wedding Concepts and Tyme Photography

I always say that SouthBound Bride is for couples bound to South Africa by birth, or bound for South Africa as their wedding destination, and I have to say, I always get a little thrill when I see international couples choose our beautiful land for their nuptials. Melanie is from Germany and Oliver was born in Colombia, but it was in Cape Town that they chose to tie the knot, in a gorgeous ceremony and reception that was inspired by Melanie’s love for contemporary interior design. With a palette of midnight blue, rose quartz and blush, an outdoor ceremony next to a horse paddock, and opulent tables overflowing with pink peonies, white Colombian hydrangeas, berries and garden roses, as well as Delft-style vases that bridged the gap between the couple’s story (and their love of travel) and their wedding destination. Needless to say, they were in the best hands with their planners, the forever awesome Wedding Concepts, who took the couple’s fresh ideas and turned them into trend-setting splendour. Tyme Photography took these utterly gorgeous pics.

Winter Boho Wedding at The Dairy Shed by Tiffany B Photography

When a wedding is held at one of our absolute favourite venues, you know you’re in for a treat! Nick and Candice picked The Dairy Shed in Durbanville for their big day and then filled this rustic chic venue with the most gorgeous opulent organic flowers, from a chandelier overflowing with greenery and rich wintery burgundy and pink blooms, to a circular floral arch that has me utterly smitten! And when Candice walked down the aisle in her breathtaking Cindy Bam gown (along with her bridesmaids rocking their Jacoba frocks!) it heralded the start of an unforgettable winters day that went on through the glamorous reception onto the outdoor dancefloor, which the lovebirds opened in style. And hello, donut wall! Love everything about this, including the gorgeous pics captured by Tiffany B.

Country Chic Wedding with a Rose Gold Dress at Kronenburg by Claire Thomson

I’m sure when you see today’s wedding, it won’t surprise you that what first caught my breath when I saw it was Danielle’s incredible rose gold sequin gown. I mean, wowsers. But besides the fact that the bride slayed it, there’s another thing about Danielle & Bobby’s country chic wedding that’s completely jawdropping – the fact that it was planned in a month! One. Month. Yep, no kidding, and it’s as lovely as any wedding that takes ten times as long to put together! From the sweet ceremony to the reception filled with sweet details like edison bulbs, watercolour stationery and greenery everywhere, you’ll be pinning every one of Claire Thomson’s beautiful pics!

Candlelight Opulence Winter Wedding at Kurland by Adel Ferreira

Some winter days I long for the summer again, but on day’s like today, I can only revel in everything that the chillier season has to offer. That’s because today’s wedding, between long-time sweethearts Gerhard and Suzanne, is everything a winter wedding should be and then some. A cozy atmosphere, candles on the tables, the smell of logs crackling in the fireplace. And Suzanne herself looks like a winter princess, dresses in gorgeous full-length lace and carrying a gorgeous jewel tones bouquet (peonies, swoon!). Rounding out that rich colour palette is the groom in his dashing suit and the bridesmaids in their forest green dresses from SBB fave Jacoba. And did I mention the tables? Sumptuous rustic creations covered with flowers and antique brass and gold vases and candleholders, which all looked so perfect in the intimate atmosphere of Kurland in Plett. And best of all, it has the warmest of hearts, as is immediately evident from Adel Ferreira‘s marvellous pics. So yay for winter! (At least for today ;) )
